In this course, you’ll meet on Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday from TBD and Thursday from 6:00 - 10:45pm. There will be dedicated classroom discussion time, and swimming pool time to learn your dive skills in a safe, fun environment. On the final weekend of your course, you will do two Puget Sound certification dives on Saturday, and two more on Sunday. All SCUBA equipment is provided for this course, except for personally fitted mask, snorkel, fins, boots, and gloves. The best course in the Northwest that provides all the basic skills, diving science, and safe practices in the classroom, pool and open water environment. Minimum age is 10 years.
As of January 1st, all our open water courses will be done in drysuits so you can will stay nice and warm for your training dives. You will receive the drysuit certification as well as the open water certification when you pass this course.
Prerequisites: Average swimming ability, and average health. A physician’s consultation may be necessary for some individuals.
Required Materials: eLearning code (included). Students are to provide their own personal gear i.e. Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, and Gloves, as these must specifically fit each individual student. Toys and basic snorkeling packages not permitted. All personal gear is available at our stores.
Upgrades: Add $175 for Certification in the use of Nitrox Specialty diving gas for longer and safer dives.
